What Is in the Kit

Each item in the kit performs a different job:

Choose the underwear and band sizes separately when ordering. Having everything ready means you have fewer purchases to organise while you recover and care for your baby.

Built for the Order Caesarean Recovery Actually Happens In

The caesarean recovery happens in stages. Therefore, you will not necessarily use everything on the day you come home.

First days: Reach for the postpartum underwear to manage vaginal bleeding without a low waistband crossing the incision.

Early recovery: Introduce the support band when your care team says it is suitable. Adjust it for comfort during gentle movement.

Later scar care: Begin silicone strips only when the incision is fully closed, dry and free of scabs or discharge. Healing times vary, but this may be around six weeks.

As a caesarean is a major abdominal surgery, it is advisable to let your midwife or doctor guide your recovery process.

High Waisted Underwear That Clears the Incision

The soft waistband is designed to sit above the incision site and reduce contact from the lower edge of underwear. Check its position on your body, especially when sitting.

The tear-away sides let you remove a used pair without pulling it down over your legs. This means you won't have to bend, which can be particularly welcome during those first few uncomfortable days after giving birth.

Support Band for Getting Up and Moving

The band may offer you light abdominal support when standing, walking or holding your baby. However, when wearing it, make sure it doesn't press against the wound or restrict your breathing.

Use it during the healing process to complement other forms of pain relief, rest, or rehabilitation.

Scar Strips for the Months That Follow

Medical-grade silicone forms a layer that helps keep healed scar tissue hydrated. Each strip can last up to 28 days, and you should only apply them to clean, dry, fully healed skin. Silicone scar patches cannot erase a scar or guarantee a particular result.

What the Kit Does Not Include

Our kit does not contain pain medicines, wound dressings or a cold pack. If you need these, you'll need to get them separately.

You can also buy a peri bottle separately for gentle rinsing, while perineal foam may be useful, too. Check out all our postpartum recovery packs to see what else you might need.
