What Is in a Postpartum Kit?

While the sizes and number vary depending on each pack, the contents in our postpartum recovery kits include:

• Disposable postpartum underwear for post-birth bleeding
• A peri bottle for rinsing tender skin
• Perineal foam for external comfort
• A support band for adjustable abdominal support
• Silicone scar strips for later scar care (once the incision has healed)

Please note that not every pack includes all five. So, choose the care products that suit your expected birth. Also ask your midwife about using foam around stitches or scar strips after surgery.

For vaginal birth: The Must Haves Bundle contains three packs of underwear and a peri bottle, while the Peri Bundle adds perineal foam.

For a caesarean: The postpartum C-section recovery kit includes three underwear packs, a postpartum belly band and five reusable C-section scar strips. We recommend using the strips only when your incision is fully closed, and your clinician confirms it is ready.
